To Add Value You Must Know Your Value
You are doing great things in your role as a leader.
Take a moment to reread that sentence. Have you considered the amount of value you are adding to your organization? What is it, specifically, that you do to make a positive impact?
Knowing your value is important for a few reasons.
It builds and reinforces confidence.
It is contagious - you'll look for and notice the value your team and colleagues bring.
It allows you to get intentional about the investment of your time.
It drives creativity and innovation, allowing for some risk-taking and mistakes along the way.
Grab your leadership journal and spend some time with the following questions:
What unique value do I bring to our team?
What unique value do I bring to our organization?
How can I use my skill set to add value in new ways?
